Dr. Sita Rani is a distinguished academician and researcher in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana. She earned her Ph.D. from I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University in 2018 and completed her postdoc in Big Data Mining and Machine Learning at South Ural State University, Russia. With over 20 years of academic and research experience, she has held key positions such as HoD, Training and Placement Officer, and Deputy Dean Research.
She is an active member of ISTE, IEEE, and IAEngg and has been recognized in Stanford University’s Top 2% Scientists list (2024). She has received prestigious awards, including the ISTE Section Best Teacher Award (2020) and the International Young Scientist Award (2021). Dr. Rani has contributed extensively to research, publishing in renowned SCI and Scopus journals, securing national and international patents, and authoring, editing, and co-editing nine books.
She is a sought-after speaker, delivering expert talks in AICTE-sponsored Faculty Development Programs and keynote addresses at national and international conferences. Additionally, she has organized numerous international conferences and serves on the Editorial Board and as a reviewer for reputed international journals.
Beyond academia, she plays a significant role in industry collaboration as the Vice-President of SME and MSME (UT Council), Women Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WICCI) for the past three years. Her research interests include Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Blockchain Technology, Healthcare, and Sustainable Development.
